Privacy Policy
Strofa · Last updated 8 June 2026
Strofa is a songbook and live-performance app for musicians. This policy explains what data we process, why, and who it is shared with. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party advertising trackers.
Data we process
- Account data: your email address (or the private relay address provided by Sign in with Apple) is used to create and secure your account.
- Your content: songs, setlists, tags and related metadata you create. This is stored on your device and, when you are signed in, synced to our backend so it is available across your devices and can be shared within a band you join.
- Audio files: backing tracks you attach are stored in private object storage and made available only to you and members of a band you explicitly share them with.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active trial or subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment-card details.
Service providers
We use the following processors strictly to deliver the service:
- Supabase — authentication and database (account, songs, setlists, sharing).
- OVHcloud — private object storage for attached audio files.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and in-app subscription processing.
- Email delivery — sending account-confirmation and password-reset messages.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting. Device model, OS version, and anonymised stack traces are collected only when the app crashes or encounters an error. No personal content (songs, setlists) is included.
Using the app without an account
You can use Strofa entirely offline without signing in. In that case your content stays only on your device and is not transmitted to us. Note that data kept only on the device is not backed up by us and may be lost if the app is removed.
Retention & deletion
Your synced content is kept while your account exists, including after a trial or subscription ends, so it is intact if you subscribe again. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us; deleting the app from your device removes the local copy.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Strofa is operated from Norway and processes data in accordance with applicable privacy law (including the GDPR).
